Induction orientation
Our induction orientation normally starts on day one and ensures that new employees adjust to their new role and gain the required knowledge and competencies as quickly and easily as possible.

Care Certificate Pathway

All Nimble Care Ltd front-line care staff employed through our managed care service will undertake the Care Certificate. This provides a passport to a career in health and social care.
Our Care Certificate training course will take place via E-learning Company (Careskills Academy ) As well as classroom modules, learning also takes place via practical exercises and assessments of competence in the workplace. Our Care Certificate course includes the following modules:

  1. Understand your role
  2. Your personal development
  3. Duty of care
  4. Equality and diversity
  5. Work in a person centred way
  6. Communication
  7. Privacy and dignity
  8. Fluids and nutrition
  9. Awareness of mental health, dementia and learning disabilities
  10. Safeguarding adults
  11. Safeguarding children
  12. Basic life support
  13. Health and safety
  14. Handling and confidentiality of information
  15. Infection prevention and control

Self-employed live-in carers placed through our Introductory service are responsible for funding and ensuring their own training is kept up to date.

Nimble Care Ltd Mandatory training pathway

The objectives of our mandatory training pathway are:
To deliver refresher and top up training to ensure that staff have the skills and knowledge to deliver care to a high standard.

To benchmark staff against the Care Certificate standards, and where skills and knowledge are deficient, top up by training and development.

To ensure full compliance with the Health & Social Care Act Typical modules include:

  1. Basic life support
  2. Medication management
  3. Moving & handling of people and loads
  4. Infection prevention and control
  5. Health & safety
  6. Safeguarding of adults
  7. Food Safety Level 1
  8. Fire Safety

Nimble Care Ltd Advanced Care Training

The objectives of the Nimble Care Advanced Care Training are:

  • To provide specialist care training tailored to our client needs.
  • To provide a pathway to Level 2 QCF in Health & Social Care

Typical Modules include:

  1. Dementia Training
  2. Palliative and End of life care
  3. Pressure Ulcer prevention
  4. Medication Management
  5. Mental Capacity Act & DOLS
  6. Mental Health awareness

Nimble Care Ltd Care Staff Sponsored Development

The objectives of the Nimble Care Advanced Care Training are:

  • To provide a career progression pathway for our care staff
  • To deliver a Level 2 or Level 3 QCF or Apprenticeship in Health & Social Care
